A strong showing by the Georgia Military College Lady Bulldogs’ offense was not enough Tuesday night, as they fell to the Lincoln County Lady Devils 50-41 at the Cordell Events Center. A fourth quarter comeback by the Bulldogs fell short as they lost 46-40. “It’s the same old story,” said head coach Bill Hodges. “The game was too short. We just ran out of time.” The Lady Bulldogs stayed with the Lady Devils early in the first quarter, but poor shooting from the floor left them trailing the Lady Devils 15-6 at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter started slow as the Lady Bulldogs only scored three points in the first four minutes and fell behind by 12. The Lady Bulldogs’ defense held their ground and the offense responded by scoring eight points in the final two minutes to pull narrow the margin to 23-20 at the break.
