A different way of attending school did not stop nearly combined 80 Georgia Military College student-athletes from landing on the school’s spring dean’s or president’s list. 

The college announced the honorees this week with women’s soccer leading the way with 19 selections between the two lists. Those on the Dean’s List include: Nikki Blake, Victoria Boland, Kameron Brownlee, Fernanda Costa, Carson Griffin, Havyn Isaac, Sidney Palinkas, Ani Springer and Abbie Venable. The women’s soccer players on the President’s List are: Fernanda Becerra, Gizelle Evan, Abigail George, Jasmine Hochstetler, Kristen McKinney, Andrea Mendez, Annah Norman, Nancy Romero-Maldonado, Cassandra Ruff and Emma Snider. 

The GMC men’s soccer team had 13 players land on the two lists. Those on the Dean’s List are: Elias Araya, Vitor Costa, Gustavo De Oliveira, Kyle Jordaan, Mason King, Ryan Peters, Lucas Pinheiro and Lucca Possamai. The President’s List includes Andre Ferreira, Eduardo Ferreira, Aaron Kirkland, Gustavo Ribeiro and Jake Toogood. 

Softball also had a strong showing academically, placing 11 on the two lists. Neely Bradford, Kennedy Coffey, Elizabeth Eddins, McKenzie Graves, Peyton Groves, Jessica Owens and Maddie Weathers all made the Dean’s List. Elizabeth Aiken, Anna Grace Boutelle, Carolina Hughes and Autumn Land all made the President’s List.

The football team also put 11 on the two academic honor lists. Jamal Borgas, Marcellas Dial, Austin Holland, Nathan Kibambe, Edric King, Whenrica McAfee, Isaiah Norris, Alton Stephens and Terrence Williams are on the Dean’s List while Ashton Musgrove and Jonathan Nesbit made the President’s List.

Women’s golfers Hannah Rutland and Isabella Samples both made it to the President’s List. On the men’s side of the links, Austin Quillian and Palmer Wilson are on the Dean’s List while Peter Thayer and Dustin Watts made the President’s List. 

The cross country teams were both represented well. For the women, Delaney Gilbert, Shundrenna Harris, Kayley Lewis and Treeaunna Whiting made the Dean’s List. Adriana Garcia, Samerra Hall, Noelia Martinez, Annestelle Montalbano, Giselle Reyes-Zavalza and Kirah Serrano made the President’s List.

For men’s cross country, Kalon Fields, Jose Gonzalez, Sebastian Morquecho, Bryan Pham, Sean Verner and Jacob Wagner all made the Dean’s List while Michael Bentley was named to the President’s List.
