The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) released the 2021 women's basketball schedule Tuesday, with Georgia College slotted for 16-games, including eight in the Centennial Center.
"We are very excited to be able to play a Peach Belt Conference season starting in January," said head coach Ross Jolly. "Last year was a great experience in learning how competitive the conference is from top to bottom. We look forward to the challenge that the PBC brings every night as we strive for growth in the development of our program."
The season begins at home, Jan. 6 against Francis Marion University. After a pair of road contests, the Bobcats welcome defending PBC champion No. 17 Lander University Saturday, Jan. 16.
Other highlights include playing at No. 18 University of North Georgia Jan. 27 and hosting the Nighthawks Feb. 24. The regular season comes to a close Saturday, Feb. 27 at home against Columbus State University.
The PBC Tournament will follow the regular season, featuring the top four finishers in the league. More details on the tournament are to follow.
The schedule is subject to change, however as the Centennial Center has been serving as an extra academic building to meet social distancing guidelines. Any schedule changes will be announced at GCBobcats.com.
The Bobcats return to the court after a 5-23 season a year ago, with four of those victories coming at home. GC returns four of their five starters, and their top seven scorers in total points from a season ago.
