Southeastern Immediate Care announces the arrival of Dr. Gregory D. Bennett to its caring, talented team of providers in Milledgeville.
Bennett began receiving new patients starting Sept. 7, at Southeastern Immediate Care located at 1909 N. Columbia St. Milledgeville.
Bennett completed his doctor of medicine degree from University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas in 2005. He also completed his internal medicine studies at the University of Oklahoma. He has been licensed in the State of Georgia since 2018. With his vast experience, Bennett has served the University of Oklahoma Department of Internal Medicine by developing “ICU Boot Camp” where each month he trained the residents starting their ICU rotation on how to properly and effectively perform vital ICU tasks and duties that will save lives. As a member of Team Health in Memphis, Tenn., he served as Sepsis Champion. The goal of the committee was to educate hospital staff on proper recognition of sepsis and the initiation of early goal directed intervention in the Emergency Department. In 2010, Bennett was awarded the “Power of One” for his exceptional patient care during his time there.
Bennett is married to his wife of 20 years, Christine Bennett. They have six children, ages 17 to 3. They all attend Gatewood. When not going to his children’s sporting events, such as football or baseball, he likes playing guitar, working in his garden or spending relaxing time out on the lake. Bennett is also employed full-time as an ER physician at Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin hospital.
