Severe thunderstorms are expected to unleash strong gusty winds, heavy rain, possible hail and vivid lightning late Tuesday and into the early morning Wednesday in Milledgeville and Baldwin County, weather experts say.
Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency Director Wayne Johnson has been keeping up with the latest changing weather developments from meteorologists with the National Weather Service at Peachtree City.

One of the latest reports released Tuesday morning revealed a marginal increase in severe weather through 8 a.m. Wednesday.
The latest severe weather model showed the storm front had shifted a little farther east into west central Georgia.
The slight risk area, meanwhile, which was predicted after 8 a.m. Wednesday, has shown that it has shifted a little south and east.
Meteorologists said the slight risk, predicted to be a 2 out of 5, calls for the possibility of damaging winds, hail, very heavy rain, and even the threat of a possible brief tornado.
Such weather conditions are likely to happen between 3 a.m. and 8 p.m. Wednesday.
“Strong to severe thunderstorms in central Alabama are expected to push into west central Georgia after 3 a.m. Wednesday,” according to meteorologists. “While these storms should weaken as the morning continues, isolated areas of damaging winds or a brief tornado could still occur.”
