Matt Parsch says that he has never been afraid of challenging work, so he decided to make a career out of it. This year marks his 28th year in the propane industry, which Parsch has been involved in since he was a kid.
For most of his career, Parsch delivered gas and performed service work, but for the last 10 years or so, he has worked in management. Parsch has been with Roberts Propane in Milledgeville since late 2020, where he is the general manager.
Located at 149 Garrett Way NW, Roberts Propane first opened their doors in 1987. The business offers propane delivery to homes, farms and other businesses, with multiple payment and delivery options. Roberts Propane also has a full-service department that services and installs gas logs, vent-free heaters, tankless water heaters and gas grills. The business also sells gas logs, vent-free heaters, tankless water heaters, and gas grills, along with other propane powered appliances that are available by special order.
Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., but Roberts Propane also offers 24/7 service to Keep Full/Degree Day customers.
Roberts Propane also has a showroom at its office in Milledgeville that features gas logs, tankless water heaters and vent-free wall heaters on display. The showroom, according to Parsch, is undergoing a bit of a facelift featuring updated gas log options and outdoor cooking equipment. Although the update has left the showroom in a bit of disarray, but Parsch assures that it should be put back together in a few weeks.
In terms of interesting opportunities and/or work that Roberts Propane has been able to do, nothing really springs to Parsch’s mind. Instead, his focus is on the customers that they regularly serve.
“We tend to take care of and look after the normal everyday customers,” Parsch said. “I have been in the business a long time, and generally speaking, the companies that are always chasing fame and recognition tend to lose sight of the things that really matter like great customer service and a reputation to be proud of.”
Exact pricing for services is hard for Parsch to nail down, but he noted that Roberts Propane strives to offer customers the best value.
“Price-wise we are normally the middle of the road, but our service and attention to detail allows us to offer our customers and better value for their money than other Propane Companies,” he said.
Parsch said there are plenty of reasons that Roberts Propane is unique from other businesses of its kind, but there are two reasons that stand out. In his mind, their customer service is “leaps and bounds” above the competition, and then there are the programs and options. At Roberts Propane, customers have several pricing, payment and delivery options available. Customers can visit the company website to find out more about them at https://robertspropane.com/.
The general manager says that the business not only has the best employees, but also the best customers.
“Mistakes happen, we are all only human,” Parsch said. “I do not like having them happen, but when they do I love to find a common ground that works for both us and the customer.”
