Crime Alert

Detectives with the Milledgeville Police Department are following up on possible leads related to a recent strong armed robbery of a local pizza delivery driver.

As of Monday afternoon, no one had been arrested in connection with the crime. The delivery driver was hit with a pole and a pizza was stolen.

The crime happened sometime late last Wednesday, according to an incident report filed by Milledgeville Police Officer Benjamin Thomas. 

The officer said he responded to a call at Papa Johns, located at 1960 N. Columbia St.

Thomas said he talked with the pizza delivery driver about someone attempting to rob him.

The crime happened at an address on the 100 block of Lake Drive.

Thomas was assisted by Officers Jalen Webb and Steven Guppy.
