Milly'ville Nutrition

After spending a lot of time at nutrition bars, Kelley Nelson made the bold decision to open up one of her own.

There’s so much that she loves about the products offered at nutrition bars, so it makes a lot of sense.

“I love the unique tasting teas and I love the energy that they give me,” Nelson said. “I love that the shakes help control my hunger when I’m on the go.”

Nelson’s business, Milly’ville Nutrition, opened its doors on 1954 N. Columbia St. in Milledgeville near the end of August.

Nelson lives in Milledgeville and said that she opened her business in the area because she wanted to stay local and do business locally. Prior to opening up Milly’ville Nutrition, Nelson worked in the medical field for 9 1/2 years.

Those looking for a place with healthy choices to add to their diet may discover that the business is just what they need. Milly’ville Nutrition is a nutrition drink store that offers energy, vitamins, and hydration. The diverse menu doesn’t leave anyone out, either.

“We have something for the whole family,” Nelson said.

The menu features protein meal replacement shakes, a protein coffee bar, loaded teas and beauty and specialty drinks. Each drink has its own benefits within anywhere between 24 to 250 calories, depending on the drink. There are even kids’ drinks, which Nelson said are full of electrolytes, vitamins C and E and hydrates.

Add-ons are also available.

In addition to its regular menu, Milly’ville Nutrition offers a seasonal/holiday menu. The fall menu has already received some great feedback, Nelson said.

Milly’ville Nutrition has a number of unique drink combinations.

“They have unique names and unique flavors that mix together to make the perfect tea/drinks,” she said.

Some combination examples on the menu include Nelson’s favorite specialty drink, strawberry starburst, and her favorite shakes, peanut butter cup and banana pudding. The protein meal replacement shakes have 200 to 250 calories, 24 to 27 grams of protein, 4.5 grams of fat and are low sugar, with 4 grams of fiber, and 9 to 16 net carbs. The specialty drinks have about 100 calories, 17 grams of protein and biotin and collagen.

Nelson has nothing but positive things to say about how well the community has welcomed her new business.

“Everyone has been so sweet to us, and I hope they feel the love from us also,” Nelson said.
