Baldwin and Putnam schools are looking for more than a few good teachers for the upcoming term.

Gene Trammell, Superintendent of Baldwin County Schools, said five positions remain vacant in difficult-to-fill teaching positions.

“We’re still looking for a few teachers, particularly in math, science and social studies in the upper levels. Elementary and middle schools are pretty solid, but those upper levels at the high school are hard to find,” Trammell said.

Putnam County still has one chorus and one social studies teaching position to fill at the middle school, said Patti Swymer, assistant superintendent for Administrative Services.
