A fugitive squad caught up with two Baldwin County escapees Wednesday morning in Morrow, just south of Atlanta.

The squad took Mark Joshua Ruark, 22, of Sparta Highway, and Anthony Cox, 29, originally of Atlanta, into custody without incident after the duo spent three days on the run, according to Baldwin County Sheriff Bill Massee.

Ruark and Cox reportedly escaped Sunday from Central State Hospital.

“Other agencies received some information, and we received some information of their whereabouts,” Massee said. “The Southeastern Fugitive Task Force ended up at a Days Inn in Morrow in Clayton County and effected the arrest on both Ruark and Cox. They were both in the hotel but in separate rooms.”
