— Battery

Joseph Warren, 45, of North Warren Street was arrested Friday for battery and false imprisonment of his live-in girlfriend. The girlfriend reported that on Thursday she and Warren began to argue. Warren had been drinking, and he stuck her several time in the face, back and arms. She also reported that he would not let her use the phone or leave the home. She was able to call the police after he left for work, a police report states.



— Simple battery

A warrant for Napoleon Clemons, 58, of North Wilkinson Street was issued Tuesday after he reportedly struck a man in the head. The victim said he was going out to feed his dog at his West Thomas Street home. Clemons was outside, and struck the victim on the head before fleeing, a police report states.



— Burglary

A burglar entered the Coleman Firestone business on North Columbia Street sometime between Friday night and Monday morning and stole cash from the register and a shotgun, a police report states.



— Entering auto

A woman reported that her Mustang convertible had a hole cut in the top and her CD player stolen from the vehicle sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning while it was parked on North Wilkinson Street, a police report states.



— Stolen CD player

A man reported that a burglar broke into his car sometime Monday on West Franklin Street and stole a CD player, speakers and amplifier, a police report states.



— Stolen guns

A man reported that a thief stole two firearms from his vehicle while it was parked in front of his home on West Franklin Street. A Ruger .22-caliber rifle and a Browning .243 rifle, both in cases, were taken, a police report states.

— Driving without a license

Victor M. Tanez, 22, of North Columbia Street, was arrested Monday night after a deputy stopped him for speeding. Tanez was charged with driving under the influence and driving without a valid license, a sheriff’s report states.



— Stolen weapon

A man reported that his high-point .45-caliber pistol was taken from his home on Jacqueline Terrace on Monday night, a sheriff’s report states.
