— Theft

A Housing Authority employee reported someone went through a hole in a fence and stole gas out of a lawn mower sometime during the weekend, a report states.



— Theft

A local man said someone broke into his Chevrolet Caprice on Roberts Street Monday and stole a Sony CD player valued at $75 and did approximately $150 worth of damage to the inside of the car, a report states.



— Entering auto

A West Franklin Street resident reported someone took an Apple Video iPod valued at $300 from her car Monday night, a report states.



— Gas drive-off

A Jet Food Store attendant on Roberson Mill Road reported a man pumped $54.30 worth of gas into a large truck and left without paying Monday, a report states.

— Theft

A Brown’s Crossing Road man reported someone stole two automobile jacks, a chainsaw and three Hitachi nail guns from a residence sometime Monday, a report states.



— Criminal trespass

A Selma Drive man said he awoke to the sound of someone trying to break into his home. According to the report, the man said he went to the door and it opened, and he saw a black man wearing red shorts run from the residence.



— Driving while license suspended

Leshawn Fidel Burnett, 35, of Railroad Street, was arrested Monday after he was stopped for allowing a child to hang out the passenger side window of his vehicle. Burnett allegedly told deputies he was on the way home and didn’t have a car seat for the child. Burnett was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and child restraint

violation.



— Damage to property

Walter Darien French, 40, of Black Springs Road was arrested and charged with criminal damage to property, obstruction of an officer and disorderly conduct after a domestic dispute at his home, a report states.
