Someone reported a car on fire in a parking lot on W. Franklin Street Wednesday around 8:20 a.m., a police report states. After the fire was extinguished, police located the owner of the car, who reported that his car was popping and the electrical system was going in and out, so he stopped driving it around 7:45 a.m., the police report states.

Someone reported the theft of a box of weights by an employee at a store on S. Wilkinson Street Wednesday around 1:20 p.m., a police report states.

Someone reported the theft of water service by turning the water back after city water service personnel had shut it off Wednesday around 2 p.m., a police report states.
