MILLEDGEVILLE – The Baldwin County Board of Education recognized Baldwin High School teachers Margie Brawner and David Doud for their continuous work at the school. Both teachers received a plaque in the “caught in the act” segment of Tuesday’s board of education meeting.

In other business:

- Board members unanimously approved the purchase of six classroom projectors from Dell Computer Corporation by the Technology Department for use at Blandy Hills Elementary School. The total cost will be $6,472.92.

- Approved 4-0 in favor of a bid from Gateway Computers as the best and lowest bid purchase of computer systems in Baldwin County Schools from January 1, 2006 to June 30, 2006. Board member Jeff Owens abstained.

- Unanimously approved Baldwin High School NJROTC field trips to Savannah, Pine Mountain and Daytona Beach.

- Unanimously approved the guaranteed maximum price for the construction of the new NJROTC facility on the campus of Baldwin High School. The cost is a little more than $1 million. Board member Vickie Lee recommended the use of local companies for the project.

- Superintendent Gene Trammell handed out system-wide emergency plan booklets to the board members for further review.
