Two Baldwin County women were injured in an early morning car wreck in Macon Sunday.

A four-door sedan driven by 24-year-old Ceji Walls was hit head-on around 2:51 a.m. on Mercer University Drive near the intersection with Alberts Lane, according to Sgt. Melanie Hoffman, public information officer with the Macon Police Department.

Witnesses said a westbound GMC Yukon driven by Reginald Dunham veered into eastbound traffic and hit the car driven by Walls, Hoffman said.

Ve’na Walls, 26, a passenger in the car, was also slightly injured.

Hoffman said the cousins were treated at the Medical Center of Central Georgia, where Ceji Walls was listed in serious condition and Ve’na Walls was listed in stable condition Sunday.

At presstime Monday, Ceji Walls’ condition had been relisted as critical but stable, and Ve’na Walls had been discharged, according to a hospital spokesperson.

Hoffman said the accident has been reconstructed by the Macon Police Department Accident Reconstruction team and at presstime the investigation was incomplete. No charges have been filed in connection with the crash.
