After 40 years in business in Milledgeville, Quinn Pest Control continues to put its clients first.
Whether its a termite infestation, a pest problem, an insulation installation or just pressure washing, Quinn Pest Control can do it all.
Vickie Quinn, co-owner with husband Vance Quinn, said her family is deeply invested in the business.
“The company was started by Iverson Quinn in 1968. He was an old Orkin man, but he quit and opened his own company. When he passed away, it became my husband’s, and we’ve been in business ever since,” Quinn said. “I’ve got both my sons working here and my daughter.”
In addition to sons Vance Jr. and Matthew and daughter Farrah, Vickie Quinn’s brother, Jeff Bonner, is a company man of 29 years.
Chris Holland is a 15-year veteran at Quinn Pest Control, and he said his coworkers and the company’s dedication to its clients are what have kept him with the business.
“It’s a great place to work. They care about the people they serve,” Holland said.
And the people they serve care about the company and show its employees their appreciation.
In 15 years, Holland has seen a lot of infestations and unsavory sights in people’s homes.
“I’ve seen some pretty gruesome things. Sometimes we get calls about a strange smell and we find a dead animal under the house,” Holland said. “Milledgeville’s very appreciative of our services.”
Quinn has heard plenty of stories about the pests that plague people’s homes.
“Having to catch snakes in people’s houses is probably the weirdest kind of call we get. People call me about them and they’re scared, or they call about rats, and people just hate rats,” Quinn said.
