GMC Raider

GMC Prep will host 13 schools Saturday at the Bulldog Invitational Raider Challenge. Twenty-five male, female and mixed teams will compete in five Raider challenge events.

Georgia Military College will host the GMC Bulldog Invitational Raider Challenge on Saturday, providing Army JROTC cadets from local Georgia high schools a competitive program in five athletic events, while showcasing GMC’s campus to generate interest in the college, while also contributing to the city of Milledgeville. 

There will be 13 schools participating in the meet (including GMC Prep), and 25 teams competing. The teams consist of male, female, and mixed teams. They will compete in five Raider challenge events: a team run, obstacle course, rope bridge, cross country rescue, and the gauntlet. Each of these competitions will be held at the Oconee River Greenway or the GMC lower practice field. 

Schools competing include Hart County High School, Mary Persons High School, Spalding High School, Veterans High School, GMC Prep School, Griffin High School, Benedictine, Richmond Hill, Metter High School, Putnam County High School, Fayette High School, Jones County High School and Carver Early College. 

The GMC Prep Raider Mixed Team is a three-time state champion.

The event begins at 9 a.m. at the Oconee River Greenway, 201 E. Greene St./420 E. Greene St. Milledgeville.
