Looking to get a vaccination shot to help prevent the possibility of getting or spreading COVID-19?
If that’s the case, then don’t want to miss out on the opportunity to get a free COVID-19 vaccination shot this Saturday.
The 100 Black Men of Milledgeville-Oconee is hosting a special event three-hour event from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The church is located at 171 Harrisburg Road in the Harrisburg neighborhood.
It marks the second time that The 100 Black Men of Milledgeville-Oconee has hosted such an event.
Quentin T. Howell, president of the group, said the first event was highly successful.
“Our first COVID-19 vaccination event was a huge success, and we’re hoping for those same results this time around,” Howell told The Union-Recorder.
Getting the vaccine will be as easy this time around as it was the first time around at the church.
It’s as simple as driving up and asking for either the first vaccination shot or the second dose.
And for those wanting a booster shot, the church is again the place to come Saturday.
“We’re going to be offering booster shots to those who are eligible,” Howell said.
On top of it, free hamburgers and hotdogs also are being offered at the event.
“We’re going to be cooking the hamburgers and hotdogs on grills there for anyone wanting one,” Howell.
There will also be a grocery giveaway.
“We’re giving away the free grocery bags as a way to help those in need with Thanksgiving right around the corner,” said the president of the group.
