Affray

An officer responded Sept. 5 to the area of Hancock and Wayne streets in reference to a fight. A Georgia College police officer advised that there were two men fighting. One of the men said that he had just gotten off of work when he was approached on the sidewalk by another man and that they got into an argument. The man started throwing punches at him. According to the other man, the two got into a verbal dispute because the man made comments about his dating a younger female. The two began throwing punches at each other but neither man wished to be seen by EMS on seen. The GC officer saw the men arguing when he arrived on scene but there were no witnesses to the fight. Both men were placed under arrest for fighting in public and transported to Baldwin County Jail.
