Entering Auto

An officer responded to a location in the 3000 block of Heritage Road on May 10 in reference to an entering auto. The officer met with a woman who said someone broke into her vehicle outside her residence at around 6:15 a.m. The officer observed the woman’s purse inside the vehicle with its contents emptied out and the center console of the vehicle opened. The woman said she didn’t know of anything of value missing from the purse. The officer was shown video footage of the incident captured by a camera above her garage door. In the video, a white subject in a black T-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes is seen attempting to open the door of a white truck that was also in the driveway before moving to the woman’s Toyota. The subject opened the passenger’s front door of the Toyota and can be seen rummaging through the purse while stuffing items into pants pockets. The subject closed the door and headed west on Heritage Road toward North Columbia Street. The subject on the video appeared thin with a lanky build and curly brown hair. It is not known whether the subject in the video was male or female.
