An officer was dispatched to the 200 block of South Irwin Street in reference to a theft. The officer made contact with the complainant who stated that last Thursday she pulled out $200 from her banking account and put it in an envelope. She said today she noticed that the money was missing and the envelope was unsealed. She stated she has a nursing company working for her and all last week she had different people caring for her. She knows however, that she did not misplace the money because it was in her purse.
An officer responded to the area of Village Lane in reference to a fight that had already occurred. The officer met with the victim who stated that while he was driving east on Dunlap Road, his girlfriend got upset because he was talking to his ex on the phone. He said she began hitting him and striking him in the face. He said he stopped his car, but she continued to hit him, making a cut on his face. He said he exited the vehicle and got the woman’s child out of the car in an attempt to get her to leave the vehicle. He said that she then got into the driver’s seat and drove off, leaving him and her child on the side of the road.
