The following is information compiled from public records of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Damage to property

An officer was dispatched to a location in the 1000 block of North Jefferson Street on Sept. 3. The officer spoke with a woman and a vehicle owner who stated that as they left a convenience store, they noticed that someone had keyed their 2005 Toyota Tundra and left a note on the windshield that contained an obscenity. The officer collected the note and observed scratches on the truck bed. No video surveillance footage from the store was available.

Entering auto

An officer spoke with a man on Oct. 4 about someone breaking into his 2015 Acura Infinity QX60 sometime around Sept. 20. The man said the glovebox and other compartments were left open and the contents were scattered about. He could not provide an estimated time of the incident because he said he had not driven the vehicle in recent weeks. He did not believe that anything had been taken.

An officer was dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of North Clarke Street on Oct. 4. The officer spoke with a man who stated that someone had kicked in the back door and thrown rocks through an upstairs window of the residence. The former tenants were evicted in May.
