The following is information compiled from public records of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. Damage to Property
An officer met with a man at his apartment on Sherry Circle on Sept. 2 in regard to damaged property. The man said he woke up that morning and went to his truck and discovered a large dent on his rear bumper. He said he did not know if someone hit him or if he caused the damage but wanted a report of the incident for his insurance.
An officer spoke with an employee at the Georgia War Veterans Home who said that two residents got into an altercation. No injuries were reported.
Theft by Taking
An officer was dispatched to an apartment located in the 100 block of Whistle Way in reference to a possible burglary. The victim stated that her ex-boyfriend’s friend came to her residence to pick up items belonging to her ex. She said when she returned home later that night, her 65-inch Phillips television, sounder and Amazon Firestick were missing from her bedroom dresser. She said she believes that the man returned to her apartment, came inside and unlocked the back door to take her belongings after she kicked her ex-boyfriend out. She said the items were valued at approximately $450. There was no forced entry at the apartment.
