The following is information compiled from public records of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Milledgeville Police Department

Weapons offense

An officer was dispatched to Freddy’s, located in the 1600 block of North Columbia Street, in reference to a road rage incident. The officer spoke with a man who said that someone pulled a gun on him in the drive-thru. The victim said that he was coming out of O'Reilly Auto Parts, turned right and then made a U-turn to get into the center lane behind a blue Mini Cooper to turn into Freddy’s. The victim said his son, who was in the seat behind him, told him that a man made an obscene gesture toward him. The victim said as they entered the Freddy’s parking lot and got into the drive-thru line, the man raised a gun up to the back window and started waving it around. The victim said as they drove up to the window, he opened his door to get the vehicle’s tag number and the other driver threatened him. The victim said he called 911 and provided the page number. The tag number did not return to the vehicle he described. The officer spoke with a witness who was working at the drive-thru window. The witness said the Mini Cooper pulled up to the window and she saw him pull a gun and point it at the vehicle behind him in line. The officer viewed video surveillance footage but the driver of the Mini Cooper had left before the officer’s arrival. There was no audio and no video of what transpired before the Mini Cooper arrived at the drive-thru window, and there was no verification of the tag or the driver.
