Milledgeville Police Department
Theft of loss or mislaid property
An officer conducted a traffic stop on Feb. 26 on a white Ram 2500 truck for speeding. While speaking with the driver, the officer observed that the driver became visibly upset when her driver’s license was requested. The driver said she did not have her license because either the bank lost it or someone took it. The driver said she went to the drive-thru at the bank and put her driver’s license in the “tube” along with some other papers for her bank transaction. She said the teller sent her information back but not her driver’s license. After the traffic stop, the officer went to the bank and attempted to speak with someone about the license, however, the bank was closed.
