The following is information compiled from public records of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. Milledgeville Police Department 

Reckless Conduct

An officer responded to The Beverage Company, located in the 900 block of West Montgomery Street, on July 11 at 7:11 p.m. in reference to someone shooting in the area. The officer spoke with the complainant, who showed the officer a shell casing laying in the roadway in front of his business. The man provided a description of two vehicles, a white Chevrolet Malibu and a gold truck, that he saw leaving the area traveling east on Montgomery Street. He said people I the vehicles were shooting at each other. The officer marked, collected and photographed 15 shell casings at the intersection of West Montgomery Street and North Cobb Street to West Montgomery Street and North Irwin Street. The officer spoke with the owner of the Stop-N-Save who provided outdoor video surveillance footage. 

Theft by Taking

An officer spoke to a woman in the area of Highland Avenue in reference to a theft on July 12. The victim said that she was at a friend’s residence and she went to the restroom. When she returned, she noticed approximately $47 missing from her purse. Due to there being not witnesses to the incident, no charges were filed.
