Milledgeville City Council will hold a work session and meeting today at City Hall, 119 E. Hancock St. The work session begins at 5:30 p.m. The agenda includes: 

  • opening of meeting by mayor;
  • city manager’s report -  Ivan Allen, President of the Central Georgia Technical College, to give update on CGTC;
  • closed session to discuss pending litigation; and
  • adjourn.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. and will be held in Council chambers. The agenda includes:  

  • opening of meeting by mayor;
  • awards and presentations - Timothy Thomas presented with certificates by the Georgia Department of Transportation for completing the Local Administered Project (LAP) Manual training; Right of Way Acquisition Training for Local Public Agencies; Training in the Plan Development Process; and Completion of Training in Title IV and American with Disabilities Act; Herman Wright with a Southeast Cement Promotion Association Certificate of Achievement for completing training in FDR and Soil-Cement Base GLTAP; Gantric Lowe with a Southeast Cement Promotion Association Certificate ofAchievement for completing training in FDR and Soil-Cement Base GLTAP; Untavius Ingram with a Southeast Cement Promotion Association Certificate of

  • adoption of minutes
  • old business - Ordinance O-1907-16 – Conduct a public hearing to consider amending the Land Development Code to allow a special use of 1016 N. Columbia St. for a car lot;
  • new business -  Ordinance O-1909-18 – First reading of an ordinance establishing the postingorder for the Water and Wastewater Utility Ordinance, the Stormwater UtilityOrdinance and the Solid Waste Ordinance; Ordinance O-1909-19 – First reading of an ordinance establishing StormwaterUser Fee Rates;
  • appointments – if any;
  • alcohol license applications -  Thomas Ralph Harman on behalf of Flash Food, LLC d/b/a Circle K #2745119, located at 1935 N. Jefferson St. for beer and wine – retail packed to go; and
  • adjourn.
