The Baldwin County Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. today at the board office located on North ABC Street. This month’s agenda is as follows:

  • call to order;
  • Pledge of Allegiance;
  • roll call;
  • approve the adoption of the agenda for the Aug. 13, 2019 board meeting as presented;
  • community/public participation;
  • approve the board meeting minutes for meetings held July 8 and July 9, 2019;
  • approve the awarding of the sealed bid RFP#016-2019 for architectural services to Altman & Barrett Architects as presented;
  • approve the August 2019 personnel recommendations as presented;
  • approve the College Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) budget as presented;
  • approve the TAVT, sales and use tax report for the period ending July 31, 2019 for all funds for information purposes only;
  • approve the resolution to adopt the millage rate of 15.63 mills for FY2020 as presented;
  • approve the board resolution authorizing participation in the National Purchasing Cooperative (BuyBoard) as presented;
  • approve the financial reports for the Early Learning Center for the period ending July 31, 2019 for all funds for information purposes only as presented;
  • approve the memorandum of understanding agreement between Community Health Care Systems, Inc. and the Baldwin County School System as presented;
  • approve the memorandum of understanding between STEMversity and Baldwin County Schools as presented;
  • approve the memorandum of understanding between the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia by and on behalf of Georgia College & State University and the Baldwin County Board of Education;
  • approve the Baldwin County Board of Education annual renewal support subscription to Tyler Technologies, Inc. in the amount of $82,081.41 as presented;
  • approve the 2019-20 Baldwin County School Nutrition vendors as presented;
  • approve the renewal of Fast ForWord subscription from Scientific Learning Corporation for Lakeview Academy, Midway Hills Academy, Oak Hill Middle School, Lakeview Primary, and Midway Hills Primary in the amount of $74,805 as presented;
  • approve the purchase of three passenger buses from Thomas in the amount of $292,288.50 as presented;
  • approve the memorandum of understanding between the city of Milledgeville and the Baldwin County School District as presented;
  • approve policy GBRK-professional personnel vacations as presented;
  • approve the surplus of 110 old science tables from Oak Hill Middle School;
  • approve the surplus of 880 student chairs, 120 old classroom tables, and 540 student desks from Midway Hills Primary and Lakeview Primary schools;
  • approve GCSU to utilize 20 buses to transport students from the Centennial Center to the West Campus intramural fields on Aug. 15, 2019 from 5 until 7:30 p.m. and 30 buses Aug. 17, 2019 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.;
