Baldwin BOE

The Baldwin County Board of Education meets at 5:30 p.m. today at the board office, 110 N. ABC St.

The BOE will hold the first of two public hearings to discuss the FY2023 budget and  provide opportunities for public input. The first meeting will be held today at 5:30 p.m. and the second meeting will be held Tuesday, May 19, at 5:30 p.m. The final FY2023 budget will be adopted at the board meeting on Tuesday, June 14, at 5:30 p.m. 

The remainder of the agenda will include:

  • Agenda action items - approve the minutes of meetings held April 12, as presented; approve TAVT, Sales, Use Tax Reports for the period ending April 30, 2022, to include SPLOST cash flow, critical needs, balance sheet, and financial reports for all funds for information purposes only; approve May 10, personnel recommendations; approve extending the superintendent’s contract beginning Jan. 1, 2022, Dec. 31, 2024; approve Early Learning Center Head Start grant application funds for two buses; approve the award of RFB #015-2022 to Five Star Food Service Inc. for Summer Meal Kits in the amount of $105,500.00 as presented; approve the FY 2023 School Nutrition Budget; approve the increase of adult meal prices to $4 for lunch and $3 for breakfast; approve the revision to the 2022-23 calendar; approve summer hours from May 20, 2022, to July 15, 2022, as presented; approve the Memorandum of Understanding for Montessori Academy, effective July 1, 2022, by and between the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia on behalf of Georgia College and the Baldwin County Board of Education; approve the purchase of school supplies for Baldwin High School, Oak Hill Middle School, Lakeview Primary, Lakeview Academy, Midway Hills Primary, Midway Hills Academy, Georgia College Early College, Baldwin Success Academy and the Early Learning Center; approve the purchase of 75-inch interactive flat panel TVs for Lakeview Primary classrooms from Edtech 12 Edtech 12 Education Technology in the amount of $200,503.00; approve board policies; approve board policies to be policies tabled for 30 days;
