Sinclair Drowning

EATONTON, Ga. — Local and state authorities have recovered the body of a man found floating on Lake Sinclair Thursday morning. 

The victim’s name has not yet been released publicly. 

Details have not yet been revealed by authorities. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, along with game wardens with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division, as well as the Putnam County Coroner’s Office, are investigating. 

The body was found floating on the water about 250 yards from the W.G. (Geechee) Winslette Jr. Bridge, adjacent to the Twin Bridges convenience store. 

Authorities are expected to release more details later today.
