A 19-year-old Macon man is being sought in connection with the fatal shooting of a young Milledgeville man earlier this week at a gas station in Macon-Bibb County, authorities say.
The suspect has been identified as Bradford Devonte Anderson, who last was seen driving a dark-colored Honda Accord with a Georgia license plate number of RML7826.
A felony murder warrant has been taken out for Anderson’s arrest by detectives with the Macon-Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect is described as standing about 5-feet-8 inches tall, weighing approximately 185 pounds with possibly a hairstyle of long dreads, according to authorities.
Anderson is accused in the Wednesday afternoon shooting of 20-year-old Randon Shamar Hogan.
The shooting happened shortly before 2:30 p.m. at the Shell Gas Station on Mercer University Drive near the Macon Mall.
Hogan was taken to a Macon hospital where he died a short time later, authorities said.
The murder is the 12th one this year in Macon-Bibb County.
According to the website of Slater’s Funeral Home in Milledgeville, funeral arrangements still were not complete as of Friday afternoon.
The funeral home said the victim’s family is receiving friends at a residence at 980 Dunlap Road in Milledgeville.
