Honor roll, dean's list recognizes academic achievements for spring semester 2020

MCKENZIE, Tenn. — President Walter Butler announced Bethel University's College of Arts & Sciences and College of Health Sciences Spring Semester 2020 Honor Roll and Dean's List student achievements. 

To qualify for the honor roll, undergraduates must have completed 12 or more hours of academic work with an average GPA of 3.7 or above and no grade lower than a "C."

To qualify for Bethel's dean's list, undergraduates must have completed 12 or more hours of academic work with an average GPA of 3.5 - 3.69 and no grade lower than a "C."

Bethel University is a private, not-for-profit university affiliated with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church located in McKenzie, Tenn., offering both on-campus and online courses.

Alison Rugel graduates from Georgia Southwestern State University

AMERICUS, Ga. — Alison Rugel of Milledgeville graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University during the spring 2020 virtual graduation ceremony on Friday, May 15. Rugel earned a bachelor of science in sociology cum laude.

Graduates received a package in early May with a special gift available only to spring 2020 graduates. They were encouraged to share photos posing with the package contents, wearing their cap and gown, or watching the ceremony and post on social media.

Spring 2020 graduates also have the option of returning to campus to walk across the stage in a special face-to-face Aug. 15, ceremony.

Ommie Prior of Milledgeville makes spring 2020 academic achievement list at Georgia Southwestern State University

AMERICUS, Ga. — Ommie Prior, a resident of Milledgeville, made the spring 2020 Academic Achievement List at Georgia Southwestern State University and was among 735 students recognized for scholastic achievement.

To be eligible for the Academic Achievement List, a student must previously earn at least 12 credit hours at GSW, be enrolled in 3 to 11 hours of courses, and earn a 3.5 or higher GPA.

Lola Carr of Gordon makes Spring 2020 President's List at Georgia Southwestern State University

AMERICUS, Ga. — Lola Carr, a resident of Gordon, made the spring 2020 president's list at Georgia Southwestern State University and was among 735 students recognized for scholastic achievement.

To be eligible for the president's list, a student must earn a semester GPA of 4.0 and take a minimum of 12 credit hours.
