Several Milledgeville products landed themselves on the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Commissioner’s All-Academic Team late last month for their performances in the classroom during the 2019-20 academic year.
Cameron Brown, Hezekiah Hartry, Ambria Henry, Jeremiah Hicks, Tremaija Neal and Jordan Waller each made the commissioner’s list for maintaining a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average through last year.
Brown, a John Milledge Academy alum (Class of 2018), is a member of the Savannah State University football team seeking his degree in middle grades education. The offensive lineman spent his first two years of college playing locally at Georgia Military College before transferring to SSU.
Three members of Baldwin High School’s Class of 2018 were among those making the SIAC Commissioner’s All-Academic Team. Hezekiah Hartry of Paine College’s men’s track and field team was joined by Paine women’s track and field athletes Ambria Henry and Tremaija Neal in making the cut. Hartry is a history major while Henry majors in psychology. Neal is focusing on biology. BHS Class of 2019 grad Jeremiah Hicks, a member of Benedict College’s football team, also made the list. Hicks is a public health major at Benedict College in South Carolina.
GMC Prep Class of 2019 member Jordan Waller, a softball player at Albany State University, is an SIAC Commisioner’s All-Academic Team member. Waller is a political science major.
