The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. Nuisance Animal

A deputy responded to a call from an Irby Street address Oct. 2 in reference to a nuisance animal. The complainant told the deputy when he returned home he noticed the neighbor's dog in the front of his residence. When he attempted to get out of his car, the dog growled at him then ran off. After inspecting his property, the homeowner also discovered that his rabbit cage was damaged and one of the two rabbits inside was dead. The case was turned over to Animal Control.

Theft of Service

A deputy met with a woman at a home in the 100 block of Ivey Drive Oct. 2 to discuss the theft of water services. The woman told the deputy that she is in the process of moving into the home. She discovered the ground around her water meter box was wet. She was informed by a neighbor that residents from a nearby house have been stealing water from the address.

Burglary

A deputy was dispatched to a Belfair Drive residence Oct. 3 in regards to a burglary. A woman told the deputy that when she returned home she found her front door kicked in and multiple items missing from inside. A 32-inch Samsung TV along with an Xbox game console was taken from the master bedroom. A 20-inch Emory brand TV along with a Wii gaming system and controller were missing from the front bedroom.

Theft by Taking

A truck shop owner reported the theft of merchandise from his Kitchens Road business Oct. 3. The truck shop owner told a deputy that someone came onto his property and stole 12 to 15 semi-truck battery cores.

Theft of Service

A deputy was called to a North Columbia Street restaurant Oct. 5 in reference to the theft of food. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with a server at the restaurant who said she waited on a couple who walked out without paying after eating their food. The bill total was $13.32.
