Recent rains left Milledgeville resident Dorothy Garrett wondering about the condition of her gardens.

“I’m thankful for every drop of rain we get. We usually have a pretty good garden, but our tomatoes are a lot smaller this year,” Garrett said.

The National Weather Service in Atlanta reported portions of Baldwin County received as many as 4 inches of rain since Saturday.

That total was expected to increase after severe storms moved through the Central Georgia area Tuesday, causing the NWS to issue a severe thunderstorm watch until 8 p.m.
