Despite the hot temperatures  and the dry conditions, things went well for Milledgeville Thunder Rally.

”It was just wonderful. It was great,” Cathy Freeman Settle, Baldwin County tax commissioner and Thunder Rally organizer, said. “The rally drew nearly 2,000 bikers from across the Southeast for a weekend of get-togethers and partying.”

David Settle said there were no incidents of violence or undue rowdiness at the rally.

During the three years of holding the rallies on their 150-acre tract of land along U.S. Highway 441 south of Milledgeville, Settle said she and her husband have donated more than $26,000 to charities ranging from Habitat for Humanity to the Christian Motorcycle

Association.
