The first Milledgeville City Council meeting of the year, which was scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, was canceled due to inclement weather.
The agenda items that were scheduled for discussion at the meeting this week will be placed on the agenda for the next scheduled City Council meeting on Jan. 25.
Items on the agenda for this week’s meeting included a resolution to authorize a service contract with Quinn Pest Control for pest control in city buildings, a resolution to authorize amendments to the Cafeteria Plan under section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, a review of an alcohol license application for Sarah McNair on behalf of CVS Pharmacy, located at 960 N. Columbia St., for beer and wine packaged to go, and an appointment of Brad Prosser and Quay Fuller to the Development Authority of the City of Milledgeville and Baldwin County.
Those items will now be added to the Jan. 25 meeting, and additional items will likely be added to the agenda as well.
Milledgeville City Council meetings were previously held at 7:30 p.m. every second and fourth Tuesday of the month.
Meetings are now held at 6:30 p.m. at council chambers, located at 119 E. Hancock St., every second and fourth Tuesday of the month.
Meetings are open to the public and televised locally on MBC TV-4 for local Charter Communications customers.
