All Baldwin County non-emergency departments will be closed in observance of Memorial Day.

Noon to 4 p.m.: Harriet’s Closet, a free supply closet to help fill the needs of cancer patients, is open. The non-profit organization dedicated to helping cancer patients in Central Georgia has relocated next door to Georgia Cancer Specialists building at Oconee Regional Medical Center. (478) 451-3413. 6 p.m.: “The Mourning After” a bereavement group sponsored by Hospice Care Options and the GCSU Psychology Department is held in room 1-15 in the GCSU Arts and Sciences Building. The event is free and open to the public. (478) 453-8572

5 p.m.: The Baldwin County Board of Commissioners meets in Suite 319 of the Baldwin County Courthouse for interviews for the new county attorney position followed by the regular meeting.

Allied Arts Summer Camp for Youth presents Tiny ACT with Ms. Ruby with Session 1 from 10:30 a.m. to noon for ages 3 and 4 and Session 2 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. for ages 5 and 6. Camp runs Monday, June 14 to Friday, June 18 at Allen’s Market Building, 101 W. McIntosh Street and is $20 per student. 11:15 a.m.: Learning in Retirement holds its installation of officers for 2010-2011 and Lunch and Learn at the Milledgeville Country Club. Dr. Mike Martino, Associate Professor of Exercise Science/Kinesiology, will speak about nutrition and exercise. The cost of lunch is $13 per person.

Allied Arts Summer Camp for Youth presents cartooning for ages 6 to 9 with Mr. Ollie from 9 to 11:30 a.m.  Monday, June 21 to Friday, June 25 at Allen’s Market Building, 101 W. McIntosh Street. The camp is $70 per student, includes supplies and is designed to encourage participants to be creative with thought and humorous illustrations. Students create their own cartoons.
