MILLEDGEVILLE — Weather:

Thursday: Partly sunny with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the mid 80s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday night: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Lows in the upper 60s. West winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.

 

Best bet for today:

7:30 p.m.: Bingo is held at the American Legion Post 523 on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Refreshments will be sold. 478-452-1611.

 

Upcoming events:

Mary Vinson Memorial Library will host an artist lecturer June 16 starting at 5:30 p.m. in Anne Moore’s Children’s Theater. The lecturer will be Dorothy Brown and the topic will be Windows to Heaven: How to Write Icons. The lecture will explain the history and practice of religious icon writing.
