MILLEDGEVILLE — Good morning. Here’s a look at what’s happening today.





Weather: 





Mostly sunny with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 90s. West winds 10 to 15 mph. Wednesday night partly cloudy. A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Lows in the upper 60s. West winds up to 10 mph.

Best bet for today:

Free computer classes for seniors will be held at the Senior Citizens Center in Baldwin County from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

On this day:

June 25, 1862 — In an effort to prevent an attack on Richmond, Va., Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee launched a series of engagements that became known as the Seven Days Campaign. Battles at Oak Grove, Gaine's Mills, Garnett's Farm, Golding's Farm, Savage's Station, White Oak Swamp and finally Malvern Hill left more than 35,000 casualties on both sides. Despite losing the final assault at Malvern Hill, the Confederates succeeded in preventing the Union army from taking Richmond.
