Pop-up style restaurant comes to Milledgeville

MILLEDGEVILLE — A new twist on restaurant dining comes to Milledgeville for one night only.

Leon Johnson, the Martha Daniel Newell Visiting Distinguished Scholar, along with guest chef Jonathan Kung will host the pop-up restaurant at the Brown-Stetson-Sanford House Thursday, Feb. 27 at 8 p.m.

Kung runs the food blog and pop-up kitchen Kung Food in Detroit and is bringing his talents to Milledgeville for this event.

Johnson is an educator and convergent media artist. His work includes painting, sculpture, installation, performance, food events, print media, video, photography, bookmaking and curatorial practices.

The cost for the pop-up dinner is $5, with proceeds benefitting the Brown-Stetson-Sanford House.

A range of contemporary pan-Asian small plates will be served.

No reservations are needed. For more information, contact the Department of Art at 478-445-4572.

The Brown-Stetson-Sanford House is on the corner of Hancock and Jackson Streets in downtown Milledgeville.
