The Market Collective sells, rents unique vintage items

MILLEDGEVILLE —

A group of like-minded ladies came together through their love of vintage treasures and was inspired by all things creative to establish The Market Collective in downtown Milledgeville.

“We have a true devotion for all things vintage and antique and we are here to bring your vision and our passion to fruition,” said Donna Collins, one of five partners in the business, who range in age from their early 20s to mid-50s. “We think we have a fun eclectic mix of fun and retro items that everyone can enjoy. Stop by and see us because you may find something you can’t live without.”

The vintage sales and rental company offers an eco-friendly collection of fine specialty items, including vintage, repurposed and up-cycled pieces, as well as unique, handmade furniture and organic treasures. Shoppers can find vintage and new home decor and furniture pieces to retro-style clothing and accessories.

“Each piece in our collection is hand-picked for its charm and history,” Collins said. “The staff at The Market Collective can provide the knowledge and creativity to apply decor trends and bring new ideas to the table to create a fresh design.”

Collins said the latest trend in southern wedding decor is going more toward the unique, timeless aspects. The Market Collective gives brides the ability to rent vintage pieces to make their day extra special with a touch of vintage detail.

“Originality is a big priority; clients want their wedding to reflect their personality, style and relationship. It makes it more interesting to sit at a table where the table becomes a conversation piece,” she said. “We can also up-cycle beautiful vintage finds to give them a modern twist; whatever your taste, we have unique decor to fit most every bride’s vision.”
