MILLEDGEVILLE — Several law enforcement agencies entered a Harrisburg trailer park Thursday, Dec. 12 arresting an alleged major drug player and two others.
Shaina Bowman, Chad Freeman and Deonte Winkfield were indicted by a Baldwin County Grand Jury earlier this week.
All defendants face one count of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Bowman and Freeman share counts of possession of MDMA, methamphetamine, oxycodone, oxymorphone, hydrocodone, marijuana and promethazine hydrochloride with intent to distribute, as well as a possession of firearm during certain commission of crime count.
Freeman also faces possession of firearm by convicted felon.
Ocmulgee Drug Task Force Commander Wesley Nunn said after the arrests the main suspect, Freeman, had “been wearing the sheriff’s department out with people calling about [his alleged] selling dope in the area.”
The Marshals Fugitive Squad out of Macon, Milledgeville Police Department, Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia State Patrol and probation officers supported the ODTF.
Nearly 25 officers descended to the Litenham Trailer Park located at 105 Harrisburg Road last December.
Nunn said the large law enforcement contingent was a precaution considering Freeman’s “extensive background.”
Freeman allegedly tried to go out the back door but was met by the task force and MPD, according to reports.
Agents collected evidence including “Molly.” That’s the street name for MDMA, which is the active ingredient in ecstasy.
Task force agents say the pills are typically ecstasy with some mix of methamphetamine or bath salts.
Freeman was allegedly putting the substance in gel capsules. Nunn said that’s the first sign of that drug form he has seen in the area.
Agents also found $4,500 in cash, 118 pills of different varieties, an ounce of powdered cocaine, a half-ounce of methamphetamine, three pounds of marijuana, scales and two firearms.
