MILLEDGEVILLE — Mary Vinson Memorial Library will host an artist lecturer June 16 starting at 5:30 p.m. in Anne Moore’s Children’s Theater. The lecturer will be Dorothy Brown and the topic will be Windows to Heaven: How to Write Icons. The lecture will explain the history and practice of religious icon writing.

Supporters of Michelle Nunn’s Senate Campaign are invited to an organizational meeting June 17 at 50 Highway 22 West at 7 p.m. Representatives from the campaign will be present to coordinate volunteer efforts. Please visit www.tinyurl.com/michellenunn or call 478-288-6057. The public is invited.

A mobile mammography center will be at Belk June 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Free mammograms will be offered to the community to spread breast cancer awareness. For more information call 478-452-5572 ext. 210. To make an appointment call 855-655-2662.

Allied Arts will sponsor a watercolor workshop for adults taught by Dana Wiggins June 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Allen’s Market Building, 101 W. McIntosh St. The registration fee is $65. A beginners photography workshop will be offered July 14-17 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The cost is $65 and Dana Wiggins will be the instructor.

The Baldwin County Nutrition Department will provide free meals to children during the summer June 2-July 25 (no meals will be served July 4). Summer meals will be served at two locations: GNETS, 1300 B. Orchard Hill Road, and BHS, 155 Highway 49 West. Breakfast will be from 7-8 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Lunch will be delivered to the following sites: Graham Homes, 11 a.m.; Pine Knoll Apartments, 11:25 a.m.; Duplex City, 11:45 a.m.; River Bend Apartments, 12:10 p.m.; The Manor, 12:40 p.m.; Finnagan’s Mobile Home Park, 1:05 p.m.; 5th Street Mobile Home Park, 1:30 p.m.; Lockwood Mobile Home Park, 1:50 p.m.

Monday, June 16

7:30 a.m.: Lake Oconee Promise Keepers meets at The River of Life center on Scott Road. Jack Minchey 706-473-0431.

Noon: Milledgeville City Council will hold a work session in Council chambers at City Hall, 116 E. Hancock St.

Noon: Milledgeville Exchange Club meets at the Milledgeville Country Club.

Noon-4 p.m.: Harriet's Closet, a free supply closet to help fill the needs of cancer patients, is open. The nonprofit organization dedicated to helping cancer patients in Central Georgia has relocated next door to Georgia Cancer Specialists at Oconee Regional Medical Center. 6:30 p.m.: The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 523 meets at the American Legion Post 523 on Martin Luther King Drive.

7 p.m.: The Milledgeville Singers Guild will meet at the First United Methodist Church, 366 Log Cabin Road. For more information, or to join, contact Jay Hodges at jayhodges610@yahoo.com.

7 p.m.: BINGO is held at the American Legion on Log Cabin Road. No one under the age of 18 is permitted. Refreshments are sold by the Ladies Auxiliary. 478-452-8538

7:30 p.m.: The Oconee River Buskers Square Dance Club meets at the Walter B. Williams Recreation Center.
