CHAMBER: Chamber board supports local cooperation, transparency

MILLEDGEVILLE — The Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber’s chief purpose is to strengthen and advance local businesses; and a vibrant, positive community image is essential to carrying out this goal. This is why our programs and activities extend far beyond ribbon-cuttings and receptions. The Chamber supplies the community with the leadership, resources and enthusiasm needed to strengthen education, political advocacy, community image, communication, and economic development initiatives. These improvements enhance our regional quality of life and help area businesses attract and retain the highest caliber workforce.

The reputation of Milledgeville-Baldwin County is critical to the success of our economic growth and vitality and it is therefore paramount that elected officials and others in positions of authority act in a manner that is above reproach and in the best interest of our community’s future. The Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors encourages openness, cooperation, and full participation from all parties to quickly resolve the situation before us in order for us.  We urge our local government and non-governmental agencies to work together transparently providing open channels of communication through which information can be discussed and potential problems solved.
