County commission meets today at 5:15, 6 p.m.

MILLEDGEVILLE — The Baldwin County Commission will hold a work session and regularly scheduled meeting today. The work session begins at 5:15 p.m. in commission chambers, Suite 319. The agenda includes:

  • call to order;
  • administrative/fiscal matters - Safe Property Standards;
  • adjournment.

 

 

The regularly scheduled meeting begins at 6 p.m. in Suite 319. The agenda includes;

  • call to order;
  • invocation;
  • Pledge of Allegiance;
  • approval of minutes - minutes of the July 1, 2014 public hearing and regular meeting;
  • administrative/fiscal matters - recognition of 10U All-Stars Dixie Youth Softball state champions; letter of appreciation - Emily C. Davis; bids for Highway 212 Phase 1 Meriwether Road Water Project - Engineer Tim Ingram; GEFA Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Loan; update on Development Authority Activities/Central Georgia Joint Development Authority - Matt Poyner; Action Sports for a Healthy Lifestyle - Joshua Black; Oconee Center - Tyrone Evans; county manager’s report; old business; new business;
  • public comment for non-agenda items;
  • adjournment.

Today marks the 44th anniversary of Rocket Roller Rink. Husband and wife, Brian & Stephanie Mixon, along with Mixon's sister and brother-in-law, Chandra and Michael Brewer, purchased the business in 2012 to preserve the memories of their childhood spent at the roller rink.
