PHOTOS: Students learn about dental health

MILLEDGEVILLE — More than 600 third grade students in Baldwin County visited the office of Sanchez & Craig Orthodontics this month as part of National Dental Health Month.

On Tuesday, Creekside Elementary School students separated into groups and rotated through four stations to learn proper brushing and flossing methods, how retainers are made in the lab, used instruments on model teeth, learn how braces are put onto the teeth and received an evaluation of their own baby teeth.

"We want the children to feel comfortable and at ease when they visit their dentist or orthodontist," said Dr. Noell Craig. "We also want them to learn the basics of good dental health at an early age so that they can have beautiful and healthy smiles for a lifetime."
