In other races, The Associated Press reports:
Three Republicans appear to be battling for two spots in a likely runoff in Georgia's open Senate race, which will help determine which party controls Congress.
The race is among a dozen being watched nationally, as Republicans need to gain just six seats to claim a Senate majority and can't afford to lose the Georgia seat. Earlier, Democrat Michelle Nunn defeated her three opponents and awaits the eventual GOP nominee.
In early unofficial returns, Rep. Jack Kingston held a narrow lead over former Dollar General CEO David Perdue with former Secretary of State Karen Handel in third. Kingston had nearly 32 percent to Perdue's 30 percent with 27 percent of precincts reporting. Handel had 17 percent with much of metro Atlanta yet to report total votes.
Reps. Paul Broun of Athens and Phil Gingrey of Marietta were running fourth and fifth, respectively.
