Manor shooting related indictments levied

MILLEDGEVILLE — A Baldwin County grand jury indicted four individuals Tuesday stemming from a fall 2013 shooting incident at the Milledgeville Manor.

Davonta Braddy, Myiesha Johnson and Shuntae Milligan were indicted for two counts of influencing witnesses, while Shedrick Green received a true bill for one count.

The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office wrapped an investigation of the Nov. 25, 2013 shots fired in the Manor event.

According to Capt. Brad King of the BCSO, Det. Dallas Parker and Det. Greg See located both suspects. County detectives found that Green and Braddy were the alleged culprits.

“It turns out that two guys shot at another and in the process hit three other vehicles,” King said in December. “They shot at this individual, and subsequently several other people, including someone sitting in her own vehicle in the parking lot, became victims also.”

Both men were already indicted on separate charges earlier this year. In addition to the influencing witnesses counts, Braddy faces two counts of aggravated assault, criminal damage to property in the second degree, and possession of firearm by a convicted felon. Green, his alleged accomplice, was previously indicted on two counts of aggravated assault, criminal damage to property in the second degree, obstruction of officer (misdemeanor) and possession of firearm by a convicted felon.

County detectives used good eyewitness statements and several sets of shell casings obtained through processing the scene to build the case.

BCSO officials were not sure if the shooting stemmed from a gang-related issue or a power struggle.

King said Detectives See and Park did an “excellent job” making the most of difficult circumstances to build “one of the better cases” BCSO had in 2013.
