Partly sunny. Scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 80s. South winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.

Thursday night: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening... Then partly cloudy after midnight. Areas of fog after midnight. Lows in the mid 60s. Light and variable winds. Chance of rain 30 percent.

 

Best bet for today: 

5:30-7:30 p.m.: The Milledgeville Chapter of the UGA Alumni Association will hold Bulldogs After Business Hours at Jackson’s on Sinclair, 3065 N. Columbia St. All alumni, friends and UGA supporters are invited. There will be a $5 cover charge at the door for appetizers. Upcoming events:

The Oconee Heights Community Cleanup and Keep Milledgeville-Baldwin Beautiful will host a clean up day in the Oconee Heights Area May 31 from 8 a.m. to noon. The focus for the day will be Barnes Avenue. All volunteers are asked to meet at Wesley Chapel AME Church between 7:30 and 7:45 a.m. Supplies needed: rakes, shovels, weedeaters, lawn mowers, bush hooks, trash bags, trucks and more. Lunch will be follow at Wesley Chapel AME Church. Contact KMBB or 478-451-7105.
